Staff at Alphameric Solutions Ltd show the England Cricketers how it’s done with a fun afternoon of fundraising for the staff's chosen charity, Children’s Hospice technology charity Lifelites.
Staff at Shalford based Alphameric plc have shown the England Cricket Team how it’s done – when it comes to fundraising that is. The team at the Shalford based company scored a blinder when they set about their charity game earlier this month to raise funds for their chosen charity Lifelites.
Kelly Middlemiss of Alphameric said, “We’ve never done anything like this before and didn’t know what to expect. But the sun shone on us and we had a wonderful fun afternoon and managed to raise £415 for the work of this important charity does at children’s hospices all over the country. It’s got our fundraising efforts off to a great start.”
“It is wonderful to have the staff at Alphameric on board making a run for Lifelites,” commented Lifelites Chief Executive Simone Enefer-Doy. She added, “Their support is going to help us to continue our work in particular in Surrey where we provide our full education and recreation technology services on an on-going basis to help the children at Christopher’s in Guildford, Rainbow House in Great Bookham and The Children’s Trust in Tadworth to have fun.”
Now the staff are planning their next fundraising venture. This time they may join in with the charity’s Overdress for Work day on the first Friday of December, kicking off the festive season with a great fun day of colleagues paying a forfeit to wear their best bib and tucker to the office for a day.
