Innovation
and service is key
It’s been a busy time at Alphameric.
Over recent months innovation has
been at the core of the companies
thoughts. Distributed EPoS is now
available based on iterm Hardware
and Alphabet software, Customer Information
Terminals (C.I.T.S) have been developed
linked to The companies market leading
ALBOS technology. These touchscreen
terminals are expected to be in high
demand as they provide ALBOS data
to the Bookmakers customers, on demand.
Web based Management Information Software
has also been developed to provide
analysis of a shops data including
Audit data and all key management
reports. This MIS software will be
launched and fully available at the
Bookmakers show. Other innovations
include In Shop Coupon printing, Research
and Development spend on Alphameric’s
integrated Telebetting and Internet
software, a Customer Services Terminal
project, further development of ALBOS
display systems and of offers for
Amplifier, Sound Technology and the
Digital switchover.
Alphameric
is continually looking for service
improvement and again this has been
the centre of focus in recent months.
A review of service is underway to
ensure that new challenges continue
to be met. Service Management in Ireland,
as an example is moving back to the
local office. This decentralised approach
will ensure that support can continue
to be flexible and responsive and
that relationships with customers
can be strengthened by even greater
understanding. In recent times the
business has invested further mobile
PDA technology, helpdesk and phone
systems and the management and implementation
of these is of great importance. More
resource has been allocated to dataflow
and Polling Automation, spares availability
and priority escalation.
It’s
exciting times, with the largest installed
base in the UK and Ireland and Bookmakers
and their customers eager for new
betting opportunities over larger
periods, Alphameric’s challenge
is clear; continue to develop market
leading solutions, innovate with tangible
payback and strive to provide service
at a consistent, appropriate, level.
