Times
are changing at Alphameric
Alphameric has been through a tremendous
growth phase in recent years and I
am delighted to have been given the
opportunity to steer the Solutions
business through its next stage of
growth and development. The company
has received and delivered substantial
orders to Major bookmakers in recent
years with Ladbrokes, William Hill,
Coral, Betfred and Tote all now benefiting
from Alphameric display or EPoS systems.
Independents, central to our strategy
for the future, have also chosen Alphameric,
leading to the company having by far
the largest installed base of systems
with the UK and Ireland Bookmakers.
The challenge is straightforward,
now that the biggest roll-outs have
come to an end in this phase, we are
continuing to respond to the changes
in Bookmaking that have occurred in
recent times. It is undoubtedly a
time of fast change, out customers
are looking for stability, service,
innovation and flexibility as the
market changes. As with any business,
growth has brought its challenges
but we have a fundamental belief that
the customer, big or small, has formed
a partnership with us when choosing
our solution and that we have a responsibility
to meet future challenges by continuing
Research and Development and taking
the products forward. With over 10,000
sites installed and 300,000 TV’s
sold to the Industry, this philosophy
of solutions provider to our Customer
base will be at the heart of our future
strategy.
Development
with our Independent Customers is
particularly important. In recent
years we have rolled-out solutions
for William Hill and Coral based on
Alphameric’s iterm EPoS hardware
and Alphabet software and we are delighted
to now be making these leading technologies
available and more accessible to our
Independent Customers. The advantages
and strength of these systems is there
for all to see on the High Street.
They
are innovative, stable and well proven
given the many thousands of sites
using them, scalability is a particular
requirement of Major bookmakers and
Independents get the system stability
that large scale deployment brings.
These systems are available now and
with options to suit the type of business.
Servers can be hosted at Alphameric,
with all data updated by the Bookmaker
via a terminal at their premises,
they can be updated, hosted and managed
at the Bookmakers head office or updated,
hosted and managed by a bureau service
at Alphameric. This combination of
flexibility together with leading
EPoS and Display systems is leading
to and increase in opportunities.
Distributed
EPoS is here and available and customers
on Slip Capture, Betstations and other
suppliers proprietary offers are looking
to take advantage of the Mark Sense
and other innovations available.
