Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulations

OpenBet Retail Ltd conforms to the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations

The WEEE Directive was introduced into UK law in January 2007 by the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006 and the aim of these regulations is to encourage companies who produce or distribute electrical equipment to reduce the impact of the product on the environment. This is achieved by obliging companies to pay for recycling and/or collection of the product at the end of its useful life based on their market share.

OpenBet Retail Ltd is a Producer, and as such is classed as a B2B company and therefore takes care of the disposal of all EEE items it sells when they are at the end of their useful life. However, some of our customers will have obtained products from Distributors or direct from consumer suppliers so we would like to advise our customers not to dispose of any electronic or electrical equipment within the household waste streams even if OpenBet Retail Ltd did not supply the equipment.
